 THE 16TH VIETNAM CONSUMER DIGITAL WORLD EXPO (VCW 16)

Hochiminh city, July 14th, 2011, the 16th International Exhibition of Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications with new name Vietnam Consumer Digital World Expo (VCW 16) is held on July 14-17, 2011 at Saigon exhibition and convention centre (SECC), Phu My Hung, district 7, Hochiminh city. This event is organized by IDG Vietnam in collaboration with Ministry of  Information and Communications, The National Steering Committee on Information and Technologies, ICT Hochiminh City and Hochiminh City Computer Association.

Throughout 15 years, VCW has confirmed its position as the largest and the most prestigious annual exhibition on IT, electronics, telecommunications and digital devices of the year in Vietnam. VCW is actually the convergence of the latest trends in product, technology, services, bringing exciting experiences for customer and technology enthusiasts.

On May 10, 2011, the Prime Minister signed Decision No.677/QD-TTg to approve "National program of technology innovation till 2020", has once again confirmed irreplaceable role of technology, especially to hold pace with new trends in the national development process. Indeed, 2011 marked the bloom of IT industry with step up of 3D technology, tablet PCs, the application of cloud computing and online storage, navigation service, interactive technology etc.

To introduce, deploy application trends of modern technology, satisfy urgent demands of nation in general and demand of customers in particular, this year exhibition will bring lively technology party with new experiences to visitors, as well as create an interactive environment for enterprises, organizations to find out suitable development strategy.
With new name: Vietnam Consumer Digital World Expo, conveying message:  bringing better and more professional service to visitors; VCW 16 promises to portray picture of digital era with series of smarter, more powerful and more useful products. Simultaneously, content of the exhibition will also focus on introduction of the most advanced products, services, technology solutions, electronics, telecommunications, optimal products to save costs and increase utilization, which are suitable with the needs of customer, economy and match with new exhibiton’s name - about digital technology breakthrough. Units participating in exhibition will also be selected with more advanced to bring more business cooperating opportunities and expand partnerships for companies, organizations and individuals in related areas.

The 16th VCW also marks diversification of communication of the event: IT Gala, "Sing with VCW - receive technology gift"; "Accompanying with VCW"; Reverse auction game completely free on website www.vcw.org.vn... also received enthusiastic participation of the numerous young, technology enthusiasts.

Organization Board continues to maintain and promote online exhibition in VCW 16. Exhibition units can quickly create  booths with all basic elements have been programmed to help enterprises to spread information easily. Thereby, the units will have opportunity to introduce enterprises information, promote products, services to tens of thousands members on official website of VCW; maximize enterprises image through advertising channels, online media of organizers and more than 20 event sponsored media agencies.

This year exhibition is expected to attract participation of more than 300 corporations, multinational leading companies in domestic and in the world, with 400 booths and over 220.000 visitors.

Hochiminh City Computer Association (HCA)
Hochiminh City Computer Association (HCA) was established on June 9,1988 as the earliest computer association in the country. HCA have 2 properties are professional associations and enterprises associations. Up to July 6, 2008, HCA has gathered 1.203 individual members and 191 enterprise members, include 28 international companies and 163 domestic enterprises. Among of 28 international companies that have 23 enterprises with foreign capital. Among of 163 domestic enterprises that have 44 range of countries companies.
