announced today exciting new lines of 8 PowerShot and IXUS “SMART AUTO”cameras with the new outstanding features - Miniature Effect and Fish-eye Effect, 1 Digital SLR camera, 8 high and standard digital camcorders and 1 new telephoto room lens EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM for professional users. These products with a range of clever and user-friendly features make photography more enjoyable than ever, helping users get great shots or captures with minimum effort.
 

All the new cameras feature the two shooting modes: Fish-Eye Effect & Miniature Effect. The first effect allows users to achieve the effect of a fish-eye lens with three levels of distortion to choose from, whilst Miniature Effect mimics the effects possible with a ‘Tilt-Shift’ lens - making buildings within a wider landscape appear of model-scale for dramatic results. These two modes are the key hook that highlights the launch theme "Get creative with your world" this time.

IXUS line includes IXUS 130, IXUS 210 and IXUS 105 demonstrate the convergence of high performance and impeccable style. With Advanced SMART AUTO mode feature added, users can capture incredible pictures with extreme ease. Canon’s Scene Detection and Face Detection Technologies analyze each scene in detail – checking subject brightness, contrast, distance and identifying the optimal settings for 22 scenes intuitively. The new items of IXUS line bring a high quality stunning detail with 12.1 to 14.1 MP and wide Optical Zoom up to 5x. A Low Light mode feature helps to make a perfect for capturing the natural ambience when shooting in low light.

The latest range of new extra-compact includes PowerShot A495/A490/A3100/A3000 and Powershot SX210 IS. This new range of PowerShot cameras is equipped with Canon’s newly enhanced DIGIC III imaging processor that delivers superb image quality, excellent color reproduction with Canon’s smart scene recognition technology. The new feature Smart Flash Exposure uses scene detection function to determine the distance and shooting conditions to calculate the best flash exposure to product natural images.

Especially, users can capture the perfect moment with the new Smart Shutter feature from IXUS 130, IXUS 210 and Powershot 210 IS. They can choose one of three self-portraits timers - the Smile Detection, Wink Detection or Face Self-Timer to activate the camera after composing the ideal shoot.

Besides compact models, Canon introduces the professional camera EOS 550D. The 18 Megapixel Camera retains all of the traditional characteristics that have made the EOS Rebel series beloved. The camera includes a variety of new features for photographic assignments as varied as grabbing that action shot from the sidelines or creating memorable family portraits, including: 3.7 fps shooting, an ISO range of 100-6400 (expandable to 12,800), a 63-zone Dual Layer Metering System, and Canon's DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor. Not only does the EOS 550D capture brilliant progressive-frame Full HD videos, it brings out every stunning detail of your shots with incredible ease.

At the launch, Canon also introduces its smart series camcorder include LEGRIA FS: LEGRIA FS 36 and LEGRIA FS 306, LEGRIA HR R: LEGRIA HF R18 and LEGRIA HF R16, LEGRIA HF M: LEGRIA HF M31 and LEGRIA HF M300 and LEGRE HF S series: LEGRIA HF S21 and LEGRIA HF S200.

LEGRIA FS- Standard Definition camcorders are capable of shooting high quality home videos, equipped with 1/6-inch CCD (approximately 800,000 pixels) and 41x Advanced Zoom, capable of recording MPEG2 video with stereo audio and still images up to 1024x768 in resolution.

The LEGRIA HF R, LEGRIA HF and The LEGRIA HF S series are the competitively priced HD camcorders, packed with advanced features and available with either 32GB or 8GB of built-in flash storage, expandable via memory card storage that accepts SD/SDHC cards. Equipped with a new 2.39 megapixel HD CMOS sensor with DIGIC DV III image processor, the camcorders feature an electronically stabilized 20x/15x zoom HD lens (35mm equivalent focal range of 40-800mm).

Besides, Canon introduces a new telephoto zoom lens EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM. The lens provides the focal length, maximum aperture and zoom power for capturing everything from fast-action sports to studio portraits. Built for the professional, the body structure of the product has been enhanced to provide better durability and strength without a significant increase in weight. Canon has improved optical performance on the lens by redesigning the internal elements, incorporating a fluorite element and a fifth UD element.
